I think God must be a great artist (after viewing Simple Sallys avatar ).
I'm close to JT's definition myself. The only time I have felt close to the creative energy that drives this universe is away from man-made constructs, that includes organized religion which gets in the way and it has to be said in my own case, away from Christ as a concept, as that drags me back mentally towards the dreaded WTBTS experience.
The highest state according to the teachings within Kabbalah is no-thing. To certain eastern mystics everything divides in upon itself and eventually you meet the great universal spirit, again, a state of no-thingness.
I have always viewed creation as being suspended within God's mind. I close my mind and visualize a dark expanse, then I summon forth a white sphere in the centre of the expanse. To me, at that moment I become God and the sphere becomes creation.

if you compare other versions of the bible there is a clear difference in meaning.

Who knows? I sure dont. I give up on all this stuff, its way too much. I dont have a relationship with God / Christ like other Christians claim to have, they say its because I lack faith, or because I dont really want one (like they would know that ) Or maybe I just am not wanted by God / Christ?

- hehe - how can you acknowledge someone immediately who is said to be invisible? I know their explanation, but it's hardly fair is it ... what about the doubting Thomas's amongst us?Surely Jesus can make it a bit clearer than that.

Into the mystic (an experience).

can any of you relate to this kind of mystical experience and if you would be kind enough, would you mind me quoting any experiences listed to my friend?
please be aware that the letter uses language to detach me away from the watchtower (thus church, instead of congregation etc).

I forgot to check James's website and he is affiliated with this group and these guys have this article on their website about those pesky orbs (the site looks a bit naff to be honest, but ignore that).

It makes interesting reading. I remember James told me that he had submitted many pictures to the guy who runs the website a while ago and they were quite interested in several of his shots, although discounted others as most likely being dust particles (although James insists otherwise).

JW morality: is it from virtue or calculating self interest?
by True North injws love to congratulate themselves for being -- as they see it -- morally superior to "worldly" people.
however, if one does something right to get a reward (eternal life in paradise, status in the congregation) or refrains from doing something wrong to avoid punishment (death at armageddon, disfellowshipping), is that virtue or calculating self interest?
is virtue only what one does and not why?

How many JWs have you known whose behavior, which they take as evidence of their moral superiority, would significantly change if they were no longer concerned about Jehovah's carrot and stick?
A few to be honest.
Mainly ones who drop out of the organisation; having been bought up to accept the standards within and then have trouble upon exit using their own yard stick regarding personal behaviour. They go from being rigidly set upon a 'clean' lifestyle to drug-taking, womanizing loonies 'almost' overnight (these are brothers I refer to of course).
I have a friend who is this way and is currently trying to get back in to the org' and sat in his loft for months after being disfellowshipped listening to music and drugging himself silly, as he just couldn't get a balance on the outside. Nobody was there to set the boundaries for him and the carrot had gone, because to this guy, he was now God-fodder and what did it matter anyway?
All very sad, yet I understand the mindset well.

Yep, interesting article - thanks for that. I'll pass the details on to James (although I think he may have read a lot of articles highlighting the dust explanation). Hmmm....
It's weird you know.
James does a 'control' shot before each session which appear to be well focused, 'dust' free and then when the room changes (as he describes the phenomenon) the orbs and particles appear.
I may actually go round one of the nights and sit in with him (defeat my own demons!!) and see what happens.
If there is anything else to report, I'll let you all know and if anybody wants to meet James and you are sincere, then I can try and arrange that for you. He is open to investigation, as I have stressed before.
